As the WA gas industry transitions out of construction and production facilities become fully operational, attention is shifting to strategies to maintain and improve production. Platform and onshore production facilities operate around the clock. Gas operations require a high degree of reliability from their high voltage infrastructure, and reliable power supply and distribution is top of mind for meeting safety and production targets.

At AOG 2015, Megavar will launch our new high voltage Reliability Package into the WA market. The Package is especially designed to fulfil maintenance requirements for Oil and Gas clients. Megavar’s new Reliability Package for Oil and Gas comprises three complementary Service Suites:

  • High Voltage compliance services to help operators meet their responsibilities to ensure HV equipment is compliant with Australian Standards, and has good documentation and systems
  • HV condition monitoring services to predict and avoid failure, plan outages, repairs and replacements; and extend equipment performance, reliability and life expectancy
  • An HV preventative maintenance program to reduce maintenance costs and improve serviceability with scheduled inspections and testing, prompt repairs, and quick access to spares.

Our expert engineers and technicians have the experience, capabilities and resources to assist oil and gas facility operators understand maintenance complexities, achieve ‘high nine’ levels of availability from high voltage electrical equipment and avoid expensive failure.

As well as the Reliability Package for Oil and Gas, Megavar continues to provide major power users with a complete range of high voltage services including testing, commissioning and start-up services, emergency high voltage response, optimisation assessments and test equipment rentals.
