Project Estimator and Scheduler
Do you have a gift for estimating and planning project costs and resources in the electricity sector? Do you experience in bid development and tendering? If this sounds like you, then read on!
Megavar is looking for an project estimator with demonstrated experience in developing project costing and tender documentation for complex electrical projects to join our team.
The role will involve-
- development and use of pricing tools to accurately calculate tender prices
- clarifying scope boundaries with clients and accurately defining these in the offer documents
- assessing, pricing and managing risk using provisional sums and exclusions to protect the business interests
- packaging offer documents into professional and logical bid submissions
- long range resource forecasting and planning to control work profile and assist with recruitment strategy
- attend post tender debriefs and review failed tender bids to evaluate the areas for improvement
- review completed projects for resourcing and financial metrics and implement changes where required to the estimating tools
Candidates will ideally have electrical engineering/trade background or quantity surveyor qualifications, backed up by at least 5 years of experience in costing compex electrical project works. Power industry experience relating to design, testing and construction projects will be highly regarded.

Senior and Specialist Substation Testers – Devonport, Melbourne, Hobart, Brisbane, Launceston, Adelaide
In response to our ongoing success and large pipeline of upcoming work, Megavar is seeking experienced Testing and Commissioning Engineers to join our divisions in all regions. The roles will encompass secondary, SCADA and primary testing and commissioning of high voltage apparatus for our clients.
